It's interesting, but I'm on the fence about the article. It just feels a little sensational. Like describing kibble as "dead" while raw food is "living". I sure hope it's not living when you feed it to your dog, unless it's self caught LOL. And my house may not be the cleanest in the world, but I can leave raw food on the counter all day (have done it by accident) and not have it covered in maggots at the end of the day. My gut reaction to the repeated "kibble lacks moisture" response was also just "well then add some water to it". Which is the same thing they recommended for dehydrated "raw" (is it still raw if it's been dehydrated??), but don't seem to realize is also possible with kibble.
Before people assume I'm anti-raw, I'm not. I've done raw, kibble, and currently do a combination of them both. Some of my dogs eat a grain free kibble, some eat kibble with grains, all get raw for some meals. I'm just not a huge fan of the article. Didn't watch the video, can't at the moment.

YUCK! Only when you are hundreds of miles from civiliazation & need to eat what you can find in the wilderness to stay alive. Jeezzzee...even then..I don't know....
I can tell you this is not the take the vet we talked with yesterday was. My GF and I were at the vet to have GF's dog poop issue checked and after listening to all the talk of kibbles and remedies I had to but in, that's when I mentioned feeding raw.
The young vet shook her head and said "oh no raw is bad for your dog I see so many dogs sick from raw".
I responded "obviously these people like you are lacking the acquired knowledge and experience needed on how to feed an appropriate raw diet", then I walked out.
Needless to say it didn't go over well with the GF.

"obviously these people like you are lacking the acquired knowledge and experience needed on how to feed an appropriate raw diet" - AAHAHAAA! Great answer

Love it! I might have to use that at the vet's today. My Vigo is due for his rabies vax and I am trying out a new vet.

I heard that from vets when I was deciding whether to go raw or not 4 years ago. So I decided to go to the local emergency vets in our area and ask them if they see sick dogs, or emergency cases where bones have gotten 'stuck' in stomachs or intestines (another reason vets told me not to feed raw).
None, not one, of those ER vets have had a dog come in with problems from raw. I also asked several vets around here that are not violently opposed to raw, but don't recommend it to their patients, if they have problems with those issues and they had to admit they have not seen it personally.
I think all the vets who don't want you to feed raw (either from lack of knowledge or they want to sell dog food), say 'it'll make your dog sick' just to scare you out of doing it.
