We have 3 Thanksgivings, though the one that really takes on the most "Thankful" meaning to me is the one we host for our workers at the dairy. 40 first and second generation immigrant families. Many are so thankful for the opportunity to work in the U.S.A. Most are just thankful to be safe, with homes and medical care and basics like clean water. They are thankful their children have opportunities they otherwise wouldn't.
And me? I am thankful that I can be reminded of just how great we have it with all of our family safe and near by, and all of the other "wolrdly" things that others do not have.

Brother-in-law's house Tday, one of my daughters' house Friday and one of my sisters' house Saturday. I plan to make a piggish fool out of myself all three days and hopefully left overs for a few days afterword. I'm 205 lbs going in. Probably add 8-10 more by New years. Loose it by the end of Jan. Holidays are serious times here. LOL!
I'm thankful for all the folks in uniform that make our freedoms possible.

I will actually be working T-day night. I am going to tell myself that I am thankful for the oppurtunity to earn OT and that I am gainfully employed. *sigh*
I will be celebrating T-day with my parents and my kids Friday night. My oldest DD is doing most of the cooking. She will be 18 on the following Monday.
I am so very thankful for my girls - I have been truly blessed with them.
I am grudgingly thankful for my job, there are so many others that are unemployed that I need to learn to like what I do for now. lol
I am grateful for this site and the amazing people who 'meet' here. The improvements in my relationships with my dogs and the neat new things I am learning have been so exciting for me.
I am also grateful that I found a Sch group to 'play' with. After all these years of living a more or less secluded life, I am now going out every weekend to train. I have meet some awesome people that I can see developing into long term friends.
My heart is almost full enough to burst. I bet it just might after eating my DD's dinner.
Yeah!!!

We have two dinners to attend, so we don't cook at our house. Eventually, someone will have to take that over though...parents getting older.
I am most thankful for my husband and kids. My poor husband married into a household full of kids and dogs that he was not accustomed to, and he just goes with it. My kids, well, they are wonderful. They are my favorite people to spend time with.

I will have my sister, brother in law and new nephew Matthew to share thanksgiving with.
I am thankful for my family, a roof over my head and my dog.
This will be the first year of me making the dinner I am crossing my fingers and hope nothing will go wrong.

Mom, her new resident helper Tamara, aunt, beloved husband Jim. I'm thankful for all, especially Tamara. Mom is 83, getting to the point of considering assisted living, too independent to accept much supervision from us, then suddenly Tamara needs help and a place to live, and Mom takes her in. Tamara is in her 40's, had trouble through no fault of her own, is kind and responsible and such a help to Mom! To know someone is there in case Mom falls, to see that she eats, etc. is such a blessing for us, I believe it is a gift from God.
Grateful for puppy Chloe after losing my 2 old buddies this year, and grateful for finding you all to help me teach her to be a happy well-trained dog!

What a nice post.
I am thankful that this day reminds me to be thankful, appreciation of those in my life that support and laugh with me, thankful to those that gave/give so we can have. The season reminds me to extend more kindness to peoples; animals got me year round.
