This thread is specifically about Gambit where he is NOW, his ride to his new home, and introductions to his new home NOTHING else. Anything else should be taken to PMs
I'm currently in a hotel so I've got limited "real" internet access on my laptop but it's going in an out, so I'm going to wait until I'm back home before trying to get to PMs, I've managed to read most of them, but responding been a liiiittle frustrating since the 3G is in an out, I type a long response on my ipad, it gets eaten by no internet and I don't feel like typing it out again and again lol.
I'll be taking my time getting back as there is no hurry, I'm hoping to be back Sunday, possibly monday depending on how long I feel like driving...
I brought both pups out to run a bit this morning. They've been interacting very well, so I let them play a little bit together then I took each out individually for ball/frisbee. Gambit's on a long line. He doesn't have much stamina really. He only lasted about 10 minutes playing with Ryuk (which, as my housemate's dog Rico will tell you, is VERY tiring...Ryuk's a dirty cheat at chase games and he's been known to teleport). I got a few good throws in for fetch but with the long line he tired quicker than I thought he would (it's a rather heavy line, all I had at the time).
Gambit's a goofy little (BIG) puppy made of legs, he's got all of the grace of five legged giraffe which is just fun to watch.
I've been trying to avoid crating Gambit until we leave in another few hours, since he'll be stuck in the crate in the car but he's very well behaved in the crate (a little talkative but it's more quiet mumbling and stops quickly.
Ryuk and Gambit are getting along very well, Gambit won't leave Ryuk alone but he has a rather hilarious fear of bathtubs which Ryuk has found useful. Right now Ryuk is chilling out in the tub, and Gambit has this look on his face of disappointment....
"Big Smiles" here as well! The smiles on both dogs faces is priceless..... I can hear a big sigh of contentment too. It sure seems like Ryuk and Gambit are best buddies already!
Very glad you are on your way home Jamie! Travel safe!
I am so happy for you and both dogs.
