When my big girls were fed kibble they usually only pooped 2 times a day, sometimes 3, but only sometimes. The volume is greatly reduced (were two handers to grab in a bag) but now they both are pooping 4 times a day, sometimes 3 but mostly 4 times. they are being fed at the same time, morning and night Pisa is pooping pretty much always 4 times a day, up from 3 times a day I'm just wondering if any one else has had an increase in frequency, ?

Is it soft, or logs? for the mastiffs the volume is reduced greatly, Pisa's is less they have been having pretty much nice logs after I got the meat/bone figured out. A poop when we get up, then later mid morning, usually a couple to three hours later, then between 7 and 8 pm, then usually before bed. This is a new switch, right? My raw fed dogs usually eliminate 2x daily, morning and night. fairly new switch yes, Pisa switched Nov 14(5 weeks) the big girls roughly two weeks later.(3 weeks) as for 'eliminate 2x daily' it was that way on kibble,

I loved kibble for knowing what was dropping when

There's no reason that you can't gauge poop times on raw, and even manipulate them via timing of meals. I think you will have a good pattern for each dog within a week if you keep good notes. I am surprised at the uptick in frequency. Raw has a much faster transit from one end to the other than kibble (a good thing, IMO), but that doesn't typically translate to higher frequency. Are they getting about 2% of their body weight in RMB/meat weight? Since you are not seeing diarrhea (one reason for increased frequency), I'm wondering about food quantity. Many folks tend to equate raw meal sizes with kibble meal sizes (in volume) when they first switch, as we have seen here on the board, but they're not alike.

I could almost set my watch to this before, and it was quite valuable as pisa came to work with me
