Anyone else got 'em? My yard is brown and no snow forcasted in the forseeable future. My kids are bummed and so am I considering Christmas Day tradition is a trip to the sledding hill. Does anyone here have a nice snowy picture to post? I'm missing it like crazy right now!
Also, not looking forward to re-seeding my entire backyard next spring with all the damage the dogs have done on the dead grass.
It's brown and wet here. We still have standing water from all the rain, but I did notice today that it seems to be receding. If all the rain we've had this December had been snow, it would probably be halfway up the windows!
We've only had a few dustings of snow so far, none of which stayed more than a few hours. Strange. I guess that's why I'm having a really hard time believing Christmas is only two days away!
We are currently getting a dusting of snow!!! I've been hoping for snow all week so it seems more like Christmas. I don't think it's going to stick around for Christmas but it sure looks pretty tonight.
We had one measurable snowfall two weeks ago. And it melted. Ugh. I can't stand the mud and much prefer snow this time of year.
No brown Christmas blues here. I"m throughly enjoying the unseasonally warm and snow free winter. Absolutely no complaints here but then I usually freeze all winter.
Thanks for thr pictures Ariane! Beautiful. (Unlike my dirt in the yard!) What beautiful horses too. Love that baby kicking up her heels I have never had a brown Christmas and it has totally thrown off my organization this year. Still have presents to wrap and food to make for tomorrow. It's midnight and I'm goofing on here Time to embrace the drab brown and get my butt in gear!
I will take a brown Christmas this year! After the drought we have suffered, this mud looks wonderful. My son is having a hard time keeping his black and white steer clean but that is okay. We just need a magic wand to eliminate that wet dog smell. LOL Hope all of you get your White Christmas if you really, really want it. Merry Christmas everyone!
