Sometime Sunday night my upper denture fell out of my mouth and my rott "Buddy" ate the whole denture. Yesterday I found some small pieces in his stool. Vet tells me that it will not pass, but I do not have the money for x-ray or surgury. I don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

Are you able to apply for credit? Any family members that could help out? Line of credit? Anything?
Is he currently showing any symptoms? Check the link Connie provided.
If not, it may pass. But if not, you are either going to have to euth, figure out some fundage or call a rescue and see if they would be willing to take him on. The latter being somewhat unlikely, but I have heard of it.
This is an awful situation and I totally get where the vet is coming from with not wanting to take payments (they usually get the short end of that stick), but if you really want something bad enough, you will find a way to get it.
It's not uncommon for dogs to eat dental appliances. When my daughter had her retainers, it was the first thing the dentist warned her of. I have been told that most dental materials swallowed should pass.
My parent's terrier chewed & swallowed a 3 unit bridge years ago, all was fine, hopefully all will work out.
Ask your dentist, they hear of this all the time.
Watch for signs as Connie posted.

Edit reason: fixed; had broken quote tags
MOD NOTE: You left off part of a quote tag. Brackets (like the ones around the word "quote" when you quote a post) are sensitive on this board. (It's on the "fix-it" list.) If your post is invisible, look at it in "edit" and check all the brackets. If you have used brackets yourself, substitute these () or these {} rather than brackets.
