Everything is working great, NILIF has really added to the calmness of the household, it's pretty hard on me but it's what I have to do and I'm going to stick with it.
Pisa is listening way better, we can do seven commands before a reward.
Having her in the living room in her pen with the other dogs out is not stressful anymore, in fact it's really fun working them all at the same time.
After I've had Pisa out and I put her in her pen I can take my big girls out side, and when we come back in Pisa doesn't even get up she looks at us but she's very content now to just lay and chew on a bone.
I have to admit NILIF does work on mastiff puppies, the little pieces of grass and twigs poking through the snow are no comparison to me anymore,
we have altered our kisses 101 program and worked it into recalls, they are a lot quicker to respond because that's when they get their love.
We're doing so many little things differently that I wish I had done before.
A lot of Pisa's free time out of her crate when not training is upstairs in the office which is right beside her room, she's very content to just lay at my feet and chew a bone on a Mat.
I just had to quit looking at it as she was hard and I wasn't,
she's a dog and I'm her human.
I am quite surprised that her change in behavior so quickly, now when I send her into her crate instead of trying to get back out she sits very politely holding one paw up(submissive gesture?) when I take her callers off.
Another thing is when I voice correct her she immediately comes over to me and pushes up against my leg staring into my eyes.
We had our first off leash meeting with the pups the other night,
Pisa did great, she was way more interested in tugging with me than wondering what they were up to, she is also very gentle with them.
Pisa can't be in her crate with the cone collar on, so she has been in the living room x-pen full time.
she's doing fairly good after her spay (1 week ago now). she does not know anything is different, so its been chalanging, but she is really mello when the other girls are out.
I started a page for her, still got lots to add, but got some good pics of her on it
