My husband and I are members of a Hawaii Rottweiler Verein schutzhund club. Recently, we have had a new member, who has NEVER trained a dog, put an e-collar on an 8 month old malinois. He has no experience with dogs and refuses to listen to trainers with years of experience. We have asked him to discontinue using the e-collar untill he is a more accomplished handler. He refused and therefore has left the club. Please respond with your opinion on this matter.
for someone who has never trained a dog someone got inside his head. * months old is a pup... wow.. look we try and guide people to a better way of training. If they would not listen there is nothing you could do. You dont teach but open the desire to learn..
I recommended that this post go to my discussion board. It came in on a private e-mail. After thinking about it I agree with Vince. We cannot save the world. At some point common sense has to prevail. I am going to close this topic and recommend your friend expand his circle of dog training friends.
