Just been asked to explain myself, for my apparent 'aggressive' tone when I informed a rep over at the tack shop that is part of our business, her whippet was distressed and trying to get out of the small gap in the window she thought acceptable for the dog in a hot car.
The poor bloody dog had been in the car for over an hour an I got pissed off listening to it crying while the fat arses talked about saddles
So don't care if I upset them, at least the dog escaped the oven it had been left in.
Good Tracey!!! If she does it again, tell her she has 3 seconds to get the dog out or you're calling the cops and animal control. And then do it. They'll break her windows if necessary and probably give her a ticket to boot. At least they would out here. And the idiot would deserve it!
I can't help wondering what kind of care her horses get.
My snot nosed god daughter stompped over to tell my boss that I was rude and aggressive to the rep, my response was you don't leave dogs in hot cars for any reason so big fat diddums, that went down well - NOT!
Should you loose your job for that, I would contact an attorney immediately, and with counsel go to the CEO of the company. That's bullshit, I wouldn't stand for it.
Over the years, while on the job, I've seen many dogs left in cars, if I think that dog could be in distress, I don't even bother contacting the owner anymore. It's straight to animal control / local PD, screw them for being stupid.
Even found a baby locked in a car once during the summer, that was a big to-do. Every year that goes by I find it even more amazing that some people can really be just that stupid.
