Hey guys. Just bought an Innotek e-collar. Have had it on the dog a week with no use. I want to use it in another week or two, but I'm not sure which size (long or short) probes to use. I obviously do not want run an experiment on my dog, and I don't want her to feel uncomfortable. I figured I'd ask if anyone had experience. Thanks.
You have to look at what type of dog and how thick the coat is. The collar has to be snug....cut through the coat with the probes all the way to the skin. Feel with your fingers if the probes are making contact with the skin. The short ones work fine in my normal coated GSD.
