As a user of TTXL 100 I start my dog(s) off on very low levels so they 'learn' the collar first.
What I would like to know is are there any known problems with Epileptic dogs caused by the static stimulation itself.
I understand to some degree that dogs with epilepsy should not be exposed to sudden alarming situatations, such as, gunfire, car backfire, pneumatic drills in the road or any other sudden thing which might startle them. So I was wondering if introducing at low levels, which elimenates starteling on most dogs, has any other negative effects.
I understand that the stimulation is static and only travells between the two contact points.
I have a male GSD who has epilepsy and I have been using an e-collar for over a year with no problem. Each epileptic dog's seizures are triggered by different things. So I would just becareful when I introduce the e-collar and watch how the dogs responds.
