Last weekend I picked up my new pup. This is Broderick "Brody" vom Alta-Tollhaus. Over the course of the week we have had several adventures already, two formal training sessions, a vet visit, family parties, and in every situation he never ceases to impress me.
And maybe it's just the picture but your fingers look pretty red.
Hubby has these great welding gloves I use for those first few play sessions when they're learning some human bite inhibition. Almost impossible for little teeth to penetrate.
Just makes it a little easier to ignore and redirect calmly when I'm not writhing in pain.
He's gorgeous. What an exciting addition to your family!!! Congrats.
Congratulations on your beautiful pup!
Just thinking back on all the puppy stuff, and how much fun it is!
Brody is lucky to have you Lee! Best wishes in all you do with Brody.
Thanks everyone! He's quite the trooper so far. Excellent temperament and quite the land shark. My hands and fingers are like that, it's not due to Brody. They turn all sorts of wild colors depending on the weather! Although Brody's teeth certainly do contribute to the situation. He's been doing pretty good so far redirecting onto a toy.
Since that picture was taken last weekend, his ears have started coming up and it seems like he's doubled in size!
Bitter-sweet, your post Lee, I have just posted to Greg on the loss of his Tasha, and here is new, young life, in the shape of Brody, that inevitable, but painful circle of life....
Hoping you have many years of joy and pleasure with him

I know what you mean Tracey. I posted a note to Greg as well. I am constantly reminded of my boy Apollo whom I lost 5 months ago as I go about my daily routine with my new boy Brody. Just talking to him, the feeding, the training, the routine... all of it makes me miss him that much more and also appreciate every moment I have with Brody.
