Had him at the vet a week ago and search the internet for info aswell.
Anybody who has any experience with this, please help...
What can i expect, what is the live expectance, the vet said Thousands of rands is not enough.... or i can leave the pup as is, he might grow into it....
Yea, i am also so sorry for him. a little boxer puppy.
He seems so perfect, at first i thought he was squinting, he has eyes that do not look forward, but rather outwards,
His motoric and cencoric actions,''hope i spelled correct'' is absoluut perfect, he wals and run normal, he is so cute, why does this happens to dogs... i thought only humans get this...
I'm so sorry to read about your poor wee dog Cecille, regrettably I can't offer any practical or medical advice, but I do want to say I hope whatever transpires, your boy can be made comfortable, it's an awful thing to happen in a dog of any age, but to happen to a pup, that is really tragic.
As long as i know he is comfortable, i will be ok... i will keep him with me and cherish every moment i can spend with him, maybe there will be a miracle and he might heel, i can only pray....
I do not know any professional advise. But I had a friend whose daughter was born with water on the brain, and the doctor recommended she wait and see if the water was absorbed and it was. She turned out to be a normal little girl by the age of 5. I don't know about dogs but I was wondering if the puppy is active and running around or acts very ill. I am so sorry this has happened. When did the water appear? sharon
At two weeks he had difficulty in eating and could not get up from a lying position. If he do get to a nipple it was empty so i statr feeding Leerburgs formula and he thrived.
At 4 weeks i notice the eyes was not normal, so i seeked advice.
at 7 weeks it was clear something was wrong and i took him to my vet. He diagnosed him with Hydrocephalotus.
He is very active, and playfull, does not cry and he eats every meal. he listens for commands, and is a joy to have around.
The vet aslo said he could grow into it, i am full of hope for him.
