I am allergic to dogs and it's taken care of with OTC medication, but when they start shedding in the spring my sinuses go into overdrive and even the maximum strength meds won't work.
If you put blankets on horses to keep them warm and prevent their bodies from growing thick winter coats, would it make sense that the same thing will happen to dogs? If I put a coat on the malinois when we go outside will it cut down on the amount of underfluff I'll have to vacuum in March?
I'm aware that it's the dander, but dander tends to kick into over drive when dogs are shedding. If I can minimize shedding somehow, maybe this spring will be easier on me.
