Who's making (or having made for them) what for TurkeyDay?
Lots of yummy-sounding side dishes.
I saw this topic on another board and actually picked up a new corn casserole recipe that I'm testing tomorrow and making for T-Day. :-)
PS
Please remember to keep your dogs out of the trash on Turkey Day. Holiday Pancreatitis is an aptly named and common occurrence ..... generally from sudden unusual intake of large amounts of cooked fat.
We are going to St. Helena California to spend Thanksgiving with our son who is an organic tomato grower in Napa Valley. One of his roommates is a professional wine taster and seems to bring home a ton of wine.
After enough wine you don't care if the turkey is dry.....
I'd prefer to stay home and have Thanksgiving on the farm with the Pinker but this is how life has evolved, I guess I'm grateful to be invited for Thanksgiving.

I'm going out to a restaurant! No cooking, no cleaning.
But I am making "thanksgiving" for the dogs. Bought 8 whole turkeys yesterday at the store (stock up, they are cheap!) along with a couple bags of cranberries and 10 sweet potatoes. I'll have to add some additional muscle meat and chicken livers to the mix, but this will be what my dogs are eating for the next month.
Turkey dinner at the son & his girlfriends house. I get to kick back & not cook for a change. I have passed the baton on to them for holiday cooking with the exception of Christmas Eve, my favorite holiday meal to fix.
Turkey & all the fixns. I will make a the sweet potato souffle & a pumpkin pie. YUM.

Spent the day making vintage Jello salads with veggies and weird dressings in them for my FIL and PIES!!!!- Cherry, Pecan, Pumpkin and Sour Cream and Raisin. I am stretching my stomach tonight by consuming celery sticks and walnuts (in inhumane portions) So it doesn't explode with my binge tomorrow Doing the happy dance thinking about stuffing, pie and more stuffing..... ah, stuffing.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

Stuffing and pies are all I need on the menu to be completely happy on T-Day.
I've never had sour cream and raisin pie, but I have no doubt it's wonderful. I LOVE cherry, pecan, and pumpkin.
And lemon, coconut cream, banana cream, chocolate cream ..... all those cold pudding-y ones.
Oh heck. I love all pie!
How come vintage Jello salads? Just your FIL's little eccentricity? Not mine, but he is lucky to have someone do that for him!
