Honestly, who knows!
I went out husky sledding once, the owners mix their huskies with pointers and greyhounds. I was shown a 4mnth old litter (dad was a husky x greyhound, mum was a pure husky)and some were spitting images of huskies, others were long-legged and appeared to be fluffly greyhounds with upright ears. The features were completely random, as were the sizes, and the gender did not reflect/effect their features.
That's a really random mix of breeds you've got there, I'm very curious to see how it grows up. Can you add pictures?

Most mutts will be "wild type " which is about 35 lbs, 18-20 inches at the shoulder, or half way between the big parent and the smaller one.
Of course it's not real predictable, which is the fun thing with a cross-bred.

Unequivocably false. What would be much more apt to run true is that size will be fairly consistent throughout the litter (regardless of gender).
Considering the various gene pools involved, I would guess that Dr. Betty's response about wild-type would come into play. The determining factor is going to be not only which genes are dominant and recessive, but which dominant genes will overshadow which other dominant genes.

hello, thanks for the responses. It is just a puppy I was only maybe thinking of adopting but as we have 2 med one large size dogs would want a pretty small portable dog but think she may get a bit too big. It not the best timing anyway and they are all the cutest things ever and will get adopted so quick!!
I read that doubling their weight at 4 mon will give u a rough estimate, does anyone know if this is true or false? Thanks, just curious

I'm not sure if that calculation would work for a regular sized dog, but for my American Mastiff dog, the general rule is take what they weigh at 6 months and double it to get their approximate weight at a fully mature 4 years old.

Cat;
I would like to clarify one thing about this response. This applies to mixed bred dogs. Purebred dogs do reproduce their traits consistently, and, in some breeds there is a size difference between males and females.

A friend of mine has a mix of Rottweiler and Airedale Terrier. The dog is built like a Rottie; 110# with a cabbage-sized head, but has the wiry coat and markings of an Airedale, along with a Roman snout.

When you consider how hard breeders work to keep a "type" then mix breed parents on both sides is a crap shoot at best.
A simple cross between two different breeds is tough enough to guess at the outcome.
