We're all much better these days, yay!
Especially with the new smaller text (but it came up before, too!), many folks, maybe most, don't try to wade through dense blocks of type, even if they think it might contain pearls that they will love and use.
It's just the way it is.
It's frustrating to the reader, and it's a shame for the writer who put thought and effort into it.
It's not just this board; I've read replies saying the same thing on every board I know ..... including larger-font ones.
So it's not picking on anyone's message ..... it's just to make life easier. Especially for me. I'm almost as old as Bob Scott!
So thanks doing that, folks!

I, for one, don't read through posts without paragraphs (not to mention those with no punctuation).
And, Connie, you're only old if you remember and watched the original Mickey Mouse Club!

Thanks for that reminder! I suppose that also holds for those of us who remember watching Cisco Kid, Zorro, Lone Ranger, and Leave It To Beaver.

Uh-oh...........
It's very true, though, that dense blocks of text, without paragraphs, is very hard on the eyes and the brains of many of The Ancient Ones who frequent this board. So those kinds of posts often get passed over. And though I'm not including myself in the latter group, The Ancient Ones are also often The Wise Ones, who have the best advice to offer.

What about Captain Kangaroo, Kukla, Fran, And Ollie, Flash Gordon, Lassie, Annie Oakley, Ding Dong School, Roy Rogers, and Sky King. What about Fury?
Where I lived, The Lone Ranger was followed on Saturday morning by Fury (besides Fury, the horse, it starred the real-life brother of the actor who played Gunsmoke's Marshall Matt Dillon*).
Or at least that's what I hear from old folks.

Peter Graves and James Arness, of course, were brothers.

"Lassie" and "My Friend Flicka."
Wow, Connie, your memory must be phenomenal to actually remember the order of the shows!
No, we're not off topic; these are just examples of paragraphing.

HAHAHAHAHA
Just those two. That Lone Ranger followed by Fury slot was an important one-hour block of time in my week, obviously.

I watched the original Mickey Mouse Club with Annette, I can still remember the song.
And Palladin and Maverick and Wagon Train etc. If you ask me (which NO ONE IS!!) these shows, all moral plays, were good teachers: love of animals, respect for your parents, kids trying to do the "right" things. Grown-ups trying to be decent.
I think re-instating understandable shows with good guys, bad guys and simple plots would do more for stopping gun violence than banning assault rifles.
How's that for off topic?

Seeing as we're off topic anyways, I would love to see the Carol Burnett show come back. Where are those style of clean comedy these days?
