Today was a day of excitement we don't wish to experience again! We live 2 blocks from one of the officers who is listed in the manifesto hit-list, of the man who is the center of the massive manhunt going on in So. CA. We have been on lockdown, and my very good friend is the wife of the officer on the hit list. They and their family have been moved out of town for their safety now, and many of others are in the same position. They still haven't found this man, and our cities are still on alert till they do. Been a scary day. Praying he will be found soon.
Wow, two blocks away? WAY too close for comfort. Lockdown... man, how tough when you have a dog that needs to get out to potty, exercise. But I certainly wouldn't take any chances after listening how dangerous they say he is.

Joyce, it's funny you mention the dog issue! Since we live in So Ca we don't have many days when the weather keeps us inside, so Kasey is used to his walks every day. Needless to say he didn't get one yesterday. This morning he was sooo bad! He was running all over stealing trash out of the office trash can (which he never does!), grabbing towels off the racks and daring me to chase him down for it! I finally just gave in and went for a walk. We've all decided we can't stay in our houses forever.
Tell Kasey he's a very lucky dog to live where he does and not someplace where cold, snowy winter weather keeps dogs and their people indoors for loooong periods of time in the winter.
Okay, I know, lots of people, including many board members here, love winter weather, and their dogs do too. I'm just not one of them. I'm wishing I'd moved to a more temperate climate back in the day when I could have afforded to do it!
