I put her to sleep at home about 2 wks ago. She was 15. A lot went on those 15 years. Thru frightful worry over sons and the sickness and death of my husbands parents, Blue was a cheerful being who lifted spirits. Her nickname was "The Toasty-ness"--the family argued over whose bed she would sleep in. She was our only dog for many, many years. Our first small dog. In summer, she tried her best to be a farm dog--the boys clocked her at 28 mph running beside the 4 wheeler. Bold for her breed, she was a clean, silent, playful and loving companion, lovely to look at, like art really.

To have had this sweet (and bold!) girl by your side for 15 years ..... sometimes life hands us blessings unimaginable, doesn't it?
