Hi, been ill so haven't posted. TOday we worked on these things:
Bindi-clicker training her to lick her lips on command. Right now I am observing her and click when she links. Soon we will name the behavior. Got any ideas of what I could name the behavior?
We also worked on turns and heeling. And rewarding her for allowing her head to be touched from the people she knows at Petsmart. (Doing this because one day in Rally the judge will touch her head and back.)
Cody went to the vet and did very well, even remained pretty calm as two dogs barked and barked at him. Did well, remembered his training to go to the scale and get on it and wait. went right into the back room and got his shot and was very friendly with everyone. Vet is a scary place for Cody.
Terra- tonight we worked on agility equipment. We walked on the wobble board, did some low jumps. This morning we worked on heeling. She is very easily distracted. Any tiny piece of paper, of a butterfly, or even a bird and she is staring at it and forgets everything she knows we do when we heel. Then we pops out o fit and prances along! She was the only dog at dog training tonight , was very friendly and loved being petted by everyone!
Bindi did not do as well at rally O training this monday. I was gone to a Catherine Zinsky seminar in Canoga Park so I was gone all weekend. When I got home and the next day took Bindi to rally training, she acted like she didn't even know what do to when I told her to get on her "mat"! She didn't do as well as she normally does. So she had an off day. But she is a great little girl anyway.
So that is it for me and my pups for today.
How is everyone else doing? sharon and her pups Bindi, Cody, Terra
