Please send me a private message. I'm looking for a puppy out of German Shepherd and Belgian Malinois KNPV lines. Looking for a sport working puppy to do french ring.

I supposed that you are looking for the best of both worlds so to speak.
Why not get a french line GSD being bred for FR or a mal. The Xs arn't usually as good as one or the other. They are often the worse of both breeds or just not good dogs. A number of the ones that I have seen have been large, VERY sensitive, very low thresh holds & often HA. But I suppose you might get lucky.
I think that breeders with really nice w/l lined mals or GSD are not going to be X-breeding their dogs.

I can't really think of why any of the KNPV Malinois people would breed to GSDs.
But I can think of why the KNPV GSD folk would outcross. The problem is that they probably have fake pedigrees to look like pure GSDs. So you'd really have to talk to the KNPV people.
It's not the type of dog I like so I can't say much else about it.
I do understand everyone's input about a malinois x german shepherd. I was hoping to find a breeder who had done this kind of thing before and had a great success.
In a perfect world, I would like a temperament of a German Shepherd dog and have the look of a malinois. Will I get that? I don't think so because it doesn't work out like that. If I can find a nice malinois who can have on and off switches when chilling out at home. Or a german shepherd who is fast and reactive like a malinois. Now you see where I am heading with this. Then I would be happy to go with either one.

If you want a dog to do french ring with Lindsay, I think you should look for a breeder that has success with their dogs doing french ring. Peronally, I think if you spend your time looking for someone crossing KNPV Mals with GSD's, your going to have a higher chance of finding someone who doesnt have a clue what they're actually breeding.
Maybe if you traveled to Holland or something, I don't know, but over here? I think its too likely you'll get conned by some goofball.

We don't want our Shepherds reactive and we don't our Mals acting like Shepherds.
Get a Malinois. They chill in the home. Don't let people fool you. BUT I think you'll like an NVBK line dog better than KNPV. KNPV are a lot more spun up all the time, IME.
I would talk to breeders that are breeding mals or GSDs for FR & go from there.
A lot of a dogs having an 'off switch', so to speak, is training...But in saying that the dog will need enough mental & physical exercise to be able to settle in the house. But you will find a mal more likely to jump up on your fireplace mantle then a GSD will. :-) Just the nature of the beast.
Some lines of either breed will lend themselves to these traits to a greater or lesser degree & then the litter as a whole & then individual dog.
You need to do more research then to just say I want this trait & not that one. But as a whole you are going to get a far more reactive dog in a mal & a dog better able to settle in a GSD. But there are always exceptions to this.
