I am looking into cycling with my 3-year-old Mali in the park. I want to be as stable as possible, hence tricycle. From the safety point of view, would you experienced people recommend an ordinary adult trike or a recumbent one with two wheels at the front (a tadpole)? For some reason, no recumbents with two wheels at the back (deltas) are available in the UK. My main concern is the dog's safety. She is extremely trainable, but I want to be doubly sure she is safe.
Many thanks,
Natalia.
I'm confused what you mean about her safety. What do the wheels have to do with it if she's attached properly? Are you going to have her out front or along side?
Thank for replying - alongside, holding the lead loosely. Safety - I want to minimize the risk of her being accidentally hit by the wheels, or her running into the wheels when I brake. You think a rigid bike attachment is the answer? I thought about the lead because then she can run a bit further away and have more freedom when the path is clear, but I can bring her in when we have to overtake pedestrians (it is a shared path).
