I read with interest the posts on this and was wondering if this might be an option for Amber, in addition to her reactivity ( which is improved), she also has car anxiety ( loves to ride), she whines, yells, sobs (never knew a dog could sob), constantly. I do think some of it is excitement because the car takes her where she wants to go, but she has also had anxiety since she was a pup, stemming I believe from her breeder leaving her in a hot car. When a baby she would have a full blown panic attack when I looked like I was getting out of the car, she is much improved but the constant vocalizing, etc are difficult. I was wondering doses, how often. If this could help her relax even a little I'd be willing to give it a shot.
My animals are not "like" family, they ARE family.
I'm sold on it. It seems to work as well as Valium for Kipp during thunderstorms. And I use it myself for time to time when my mind is racing and I can't sleep or when school stress starts to get to me. I get NOW brand from Amazon. It comes in 100 mg capsules but it's easy to open capsules and divide in half using another empty capsule.

This is the brand I bought too.
My dogs haven't needed it, but when I was going through some over-the-top stress and the resulting racing-brain stuff, I found it to be effective pretty much immediately.
ETA
I have read about problems with taking it on an empty stomach, and interaction issues (like with BP meds).

Read through it, but I need a second read. I was using a product called "Good Dog" which is a flower essence product similar to rescue remedy. It helped, but seemed to have a very short duration.

My 85# male gets 100 mg daily on his breakfast. I don't hesitate to give him another 100 mg on days where I know we are going to be doing something that might be a bit stressful to him.
I buy the Enzymatic Therapy brand from Amazon. I tried their Liftmode brand, which is just a powder & found it to be less effective.

Have you noticed how long it takes to "work"? I emailed an old friend from this board about this (he has a t-storm dog) and said that it worked quickly, not relying on a daily dose at all, but about how quickly?
