Hello everyone:
I have a 6 month old Male GSD. He has a bad ordor that i cant seem to get rid of. I have bathe him twice in one week at one point and he still had the same ordor after a couple of days. He does go out 2-3 times a day in florida where it can get pretty sandy. I have tried to spray him done with some essitial oils and tehn tried a dog cologne. The cologne works for a day or two then its back to the same thing. Could this be caused by the food i feed him?

Could be odor from an infection somewhere on his body, feet, mouth, teeth, anal glands. Have you checked him over carefully?
Some kibbles or foods can cause an order as it is excreted thru the skin.
Some mature intact male animals can carry an natural ordor..that can include dogs, that is stronger them others.

Also, try to track down the area. As Anne says, is it mouth, paws, skin, what?

I agree with the others would also add to either wash completely any bedding or change it completely, sometime the odor in bedding can transfer to the fur.

My puppy sleeps in a crate which has rubber matting. The matting is washed once a week. His odor is coming from his fur mostly on his back. His mouth doesnt smell too out of the ordinary.

1. Can you describe the smell?
2. Is he itchy?
3. Can you part the fur and see if there's anything to see on the skin? Bumps, sores, rash, weeping, anything at all unusual?
4. What is his diet?

PS
"I have tried to spray him done with some essitial oils and tehn tried a dog cologne."
I'd avoid doing anything like this, partly because they can exacerbate the odor, depending on what's causing it, but mainly because you'll want to be aware as you track down the cause.
All these do is mask the odor. You want to find the cause.

Sounds like he needs to be checked out by a vet to see if he has any bacterial or yeast infection going on - a bad small is not normal!

Alright so i double checked. His odor is mainly coming from his back in between the shoulder blades and then trickles down his spine to the tail with less intensity. Looked through his skin nothing unsual with his skin. I am feeding him 2 1/2 cups of a mix of Royal Canine Puppy Max and Earthborn Holistic Primitive Natural. I will be taking him to the vet next week once he is added to my insurance. Anything helps!

I would consider taking the rubber out of his crate and replacing with a blanket or towels. Rubber can sometimes have a ghastly odor.
Is he on any supplements?
You don't want to mask the odor before he's checked by the vet, but while waiting if he has no issues with the skin (sores, broken skin) etc, you can try wiping his fur down with white vinegar its a decent odor neutralizer. But don't use it on broken or reddened skin it will sting like crazy.
Does the smell resemble anything, fish, rotten eggs, poop, etc?
