respected sir/madam, i have two years old mixed breed neutered dog of active nature. this dog is with me since puppy hood. definitely i committed the mistakes in upbringing of this dog. thanks for your kind advice contained in dvd namely establishing pack structure. you told for mental and social isolation phase of the dog which should have done since puppy. i have a question. you mentioned that this exercise should be in crate. my dog shiro generally goes into the crate but i am not sure that for this isolation, he will continue. can tying with chain in a secluded place will yield me any result. actually i am practicing this since few days and i am able to see the changes.

Vivek, you're addressing a webboard of dog owners and trainers -- a webboard that Leerburg owns and administers, but you're not addressing Ed or Cindy personally. I am sending you that contact information right now.
That said, you will get replies here as well.
I don't chain a dog.
How old is this dog? What do you mean about not being sure about entering the crate?
thanks for reply sir. he is mix breed two year old neutered dog of active nature. i meant actually that he goes in to the crate hoping to get the treat but if i enforce the tutorial for pack structure and i order to go into the crate then i doubt that he will obey the command. really i committed the mistakes since puppyhood and i heard that chaining is not good but since few days i started chaining in the secluded place, he now doubt to go there even to have the food or water. the same applies to the crate as well. and one more compliment to all of you. as you said i am getting the answer from webboard of leerburg.i am thanking all of you in advance if i get the solution.

Hi Vivek,
The most important thing you are doing with your dog through this training is Building Your GOOD RELATIONSHIP With Him -- It is FINE to give him a Small Treat whenever entering his crate EVERY TIME for the rest of his Entire Life ... You want him to Always Associate his crate with GOOD THINGS forever !!! Dogs learn to Trust & Obey the training commands of owners who continually give them GOOD THINGS
thanks very much and hoping it will work. would be thankfule if you provide me how to begin with crate training as he is 2 years old. some suggestions pl.
thank you very much sir, you gave me the clue. i will try this also and to your compliment and to all the members on this board that is working towards dog kind. i can see very clearly that how much innocent a dog can be and how much we the owner manipulate the things. and sorry for the poor englinsh.
