Went to the USPCA Region 4 Trials Sunday to show my support for a coworker and friend. It was criminal apprehension and criminal apprehension with gunfire, it was absolutely amazing to see the dog and handler teams work. Saw a few real bites that we're accidental on the decoy, I have a few videos that I will try to get uploaded.
My buddy was in the novice class being his first time there, his goal was to just certify nationally as a K9 Handler, well he did more then that. Placed 1st Overall Obedience, 1st Overall in Criminal Apprehension and 1st in Criminal Apprehension w/ Gunfire! So happy he did well, my girlfriend got some great photos I will try to get uploaded as well another time. Seeing these guys work with their dogs only motivates me to want to train, the plan is to get together with my buddy and his dog Bruin to learn a few things.
