In rescue, Adobe was called 'Chastity' but I soon fixed that...
This sweet dog was Abandoned at Large and weighed 35 POUNDS when saved -- The sanctuary Vet thought she had probably been fending for herself about 90 days, and reckoned her to be approximatley 1.5 years old ... It's clear she had NEVER been given enough Nutritious Food during her "formative months" either, and was so EMACIATED at first, that they had to delay the spaying until her body condition & weight gain improved sufficiently to tolerate surgery (!!!)
However, as of last weekend, Adobe now tips the scale at 54 POUNDS "and counting" -- My goal for her is Sixty Pounds ... She will never become "big boned" at this late growth stage, but Adobe is beginning to look quite FIT & SLEEK with an Excellent Glossy coat and GOOD MUSCLE development
She is Extremely PEOPLE Friendly and is quite dog-tolerant for the most part -- Just don't try to approach the Car or House while we're INSIDE ... And if you're another K9, don't try to get pissy, because then Adobe will give you a piece of her mind PDQ.
I plan to apply for an IPL "alternative to registration" with the AKC as:
Ears & Tails' Adobe von Shaka-Tikvah
That way, if I get energetic enough, we can show off her ALL-NATURAL good looks at Sanctioned Events in future.

Edit reason: adding more info
She is a beauty. And a very lucky girl. Congrats to you both on finding each other.
Heartfelt THANKS, Tracy And of course, anyone interested in another Rescue Doberman or smaller mixed-breed dog can use the LINK I posted above to check out many more Deserving Canines who are still there WAITING at the sanctuary !!!
She is very beautiful, I love her dainty face Sounds like a match! Spunky gal for a feisty dog mom.
Thanks a lot, Kristin Yep, she's got plenty of Moxie when it's called for -- Adobe would be passed over in the "breed ring" since her Conformation is not Standard ... But that does NOT keep her from being a Beautiful Dobie in the eyes of "canine connnoisseurs" with GOOD TASTE like all the Leerburg Folks !!!
She's a pretty girl. What sweet, gentle eyes. Now, where's that all-natural tail? Must be hiding behind her hindquarters.
Thank you, Cheri, she is both Pretty & Sweet Yes, you can see that L-O-N-G tail just peeking out in back of her near hind leg about half-way between the knee & hock, LOL.

Oh yes, I see it now! How did I miss that? I guess I just thought it was a shadow from a rock.
