that Kasey ate a paper towel? We're remodeling our kitchen and I have to cook on a camp stove in the garage. I left to go in the house to get something and he reached up and ate the whole paper towel I had used to soak up some chicken grease. Ugh. Is it going to expand in his belly and cause a problem??

Called the emergency vet and they aren't too concerned. Said since it's soaked with grease and he had just eaten, they said it'll probably just dissolve. They hear this all the time apparently. I hope they're right!

After the "Stupid ate a rope" episode and seeing my own dog bring back up an intact pair of briefs and intact socks on separate occasions I'm not really that worried about soft objects that dogs swallow anymore. I just monitor and make sure things are moving along on a regular basis and the dog doesn't seem in distress.
Tanner has gotten into the trash and eaten strong(Viva brand) paper towels before with no ill effects. Occasionally they come out the other end somewhat intact but for the most part they seem to digest.

Kasey seems perfectly fine. He's had 2 normal poops today, but I didn't see any paper towel, so it must have just fell apart in there! There's a lid on the garage trash now!
