Something about that age - a 15 year old in this community was found to be the person who set 3 cats on fire. As much as I hate what they did, I hope they can be reformed and helped before it's too late. Horrible to have to shut the door on a kid for the rest of their life - and don't think that I think this is a 'mistake', this is the product of a sick mind that shouldn't be loose on the streets. Killing animals always come before killing people for these types.
I have heard it said before that torturing and killing animals as a child, is often in the pathology of a person that tortures and kills people as an adult.
Poor dogs. Very, very sad. After all that they had most likely already endured in their lives to end that way.
These kind of people are sociopaths. Sick people with no empathy, no remorse etc for anything or anyone. Just EVIL beings.
It always seems so much worse when you see it manifest itself in children. But that is where it starts. Not sure if any early intervention would even help...but I doubt it. They are just beings that are 'wired' wrong from conception. Animals always seems to be the 'jumping off' point for them.

So have I; in fact, I read about a study in Psychology Today last year.
What is the answer? Or just AN answer?
Even the parents' being in denial (or maybe not in denial but still terrified for their kid) seems almost insurmountable.
read he was arrested and said he did it coz a dog bit him..so sad would not be appropriate to say what I think his punishment should be. Bravo to the two brave men who scaled a fence and got 20 dogs out who woulda otherwise died. Makes you not lose all hope in humanity.
old age means realizing you will never own all the dogs you wanted to- unknown
I know he will get a slap on the wrist and tens of thousands of pounds spent trying to rehabilitate him, but I truly believe this type of being is beyond reason and understanding, and if he were a dog, he would be declared a danger to society and put to death.
The really sad irony for me, is that there is a good chance some of those 'dangerous' dogs in there who finally snapped after abuse and beatings, COULD be rehabilitated, because as we all know, dogs forgive us humans our mistakes.
Authorities in our civilised societies do not reciprocate that graciousness.
