Today I went and visited the pup. What I found was an outgoing, confident pup. He's 6 weeks old, very bitey, loves the ball. And cute, cute and more cute.
So I'm getting a new pup. One thing I noticed was his size. Hes twice the size of the other liter (which is 4 days younger)
Both litters have average size sires and dams.
Your pups development "in the nest" has been super accelerated because he's had access to 100% of available nutrition from the dam, both in utero and in her lactation.
Putting the brakes on this rapid early growth by keeping him on the thin side would be prudent.
When you get him home you can control his feeding and slow this rapid growth.

"Bitey." This will be an issue for a singleton without littermates to teach bite inhibition--something to focus your early training on. But you're aware of this already.
Congratulations on the new pup. I wish you and him all the best.
