Obedience 10/9/14
Please cut me slack for this is my first time recording myself on film during our training. I am open for constructive criticism as always, please keep in mind we are not training for a sport or anything special right now - simply working on obedience and getting that 110% before we consider any other options. I noticed a few things myself that could use some improvement and I am interested to see what everyone else picks up on.
I am planning on purchasing a GoPro as soon as funds will allow, this is my coworkers and it was a BLAST messing around with. Any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
Thanks folks!

Thank you, forgive the camera work. I agree it's crappy, if I end up borrowing it another day I plan to get better video.

if I train specifically for vid purposes and there is nobody to hold the camera I put some markers on the ground to confine handler and dog inside a full frame - at least in theory.
that dog has plenty of drive.

Thanks. I've never used a GoPro before so i wasn't sure how it would come out.

Nice work. Like that dog.
You have pretty good off-leash ob, so you might consider dropping the leash for one thing... You do a good job of rewarding the "out" with another bite, but the dog is quick and is on it in a flash. IMHO, you might "out" then back off while having him hold his position. Add some distance and some height to the presentation, and release. You'd be working on duration in position, launching, and striking all in one instance.
All JMO.

Thanks. I appreciate the feedback, I've never been in front of the camera haha it's all very new. I tried adding some distance as I walked towards the camera at the end, I realized the importance of a long leash. I had an issue where I was lazy and would allow him to down himself when told to sit... Big mistake.

be great to see more of this dog, that you can actually see. pitties are not a breed I am familiar with personally.
like to see him engaged in a vigorous game of tug with you.
btw most people avoid clicking on 10 min clips, 3 - 5 mins seems about the norm. ya gotta cater for the 2 second attention span gener....shiny thing over there.

Thanks Peter, I plan to purchase one of these fancy GoPro's for myself and capture much more video. I will sure try to get more posted for you guys, he's a great dog still very young at 1.5 years old and learning more all the time. Right now I'm trying to teach him the back up command...a lot harder then it seems that's for sure.

why gopro?
I use an inexpensive compact digital and free editing software for youtube.
I have a gopro, I rarely use it.
unless you want to video yourself illegally racing cops with a camera mounted on the handle bars of a GP ready bike there is nothing great about a gopro, I hate the fish eye look for training clips and they are so expensive.
save your money.
