This restored my faith, which has become somewhat jaded of late, in human behaviour, and reaffirmed by unshakeable belief that dogs are here on earth to make us better people.
I am also not too proud to admit I sobbed like a child when I saw this wee dog on the news tonight.

that's a great story tracey ,
but i'm not at all surprised .
i mean , you're a dog . here comes a bunch of guys who look like they've got something going on . i wonder if they'll let me hang out with them . . . whoa wait . one of them gave me food !
that's never happened before . i wonder if it'll happen again . i'll just kinda go along with them 'cause there's nothing happening where i was . yup these guys are cool . . . no reason why i wouldn't keep going where they are going .
kinda sounds like the first time man and dog hung out together .
i wasn't crying , i was smiling . . . that dog just confirmed my faith in dogs , 'cause i agree with you , people are better when dogs are around .

It really is the classic and primal thing isn't it? The dog gets fed, gets company and bonds with friendly and welcoming pack, I smiled too, but being that bonkers old dog lady that I am affectionately teased about constantly, I get the weepies far to readily these days!

Yes I wondered if it had been a runaway rather than a street dog, either way, Arthur got to go on a great adventure with some new friends, then go home with them.

I'm sure that's not too far off, I got a good smile out of it too
Me too!
Imagine that first wolf who decided that hanging out with the humans was a good plan, and the humans who agreed. To me too, kristin and Ian, this story makes me think of that way-back get-together.
