Hi Everyone! Thank you so much for your support this last week or so. Kasey had his surgery Monday morning and they removed the tumor plus surrounding tissue. He has had a little rocky recovery with pain in that leg - wouldn't even get up for food that first day and a half! Then he had some vomiting and diarrhea from the general, so he was a happy camper until yesterday. But he's on the mend now and wanted to go for a little walk.
The vet called this morning with the tumor biopsy results and it's a Nerve Sheath low malignancy tumor. All of the tumor was successfully removed and the borders test clean. This type of tumor is non metastasizing, but does have a somewhat small chance of recurring down the line, so we have to keep a close eye on that area from now on.
