People who shout the most know the least.
People who are silent know the most.
People who are absent are doing the work (ie training their dogs).
I just want to say thank you to those who continually take the time to be respectful to all who post here.

Ditto with Tanya!
Most are here to learn and there are many who will help with that.
This isn't one of those forums where trash talk and flame wars are tolerated.
Thanks to Ed from the get go for that.
I think this is a forum where those that have dog training knowledge realize that anyone who posts, green or highly skilled can always add something new to learn.

I think I'm; Me six!
.
And I would like to add, offense can be taken when none is meant, print is black and white but the tone behind the posts are lost. Also, we all know people who lack filters, insulting yes, intentional ill will meant.....no. The pm is a nice feature to address someone you offended and explain what was behind the post. Or if you have been offended, ask for clarification.

Sheila, that's a great point!
ETA
PS
I have offended others more times than I want to remember, not ever meaning to.
So I should have made that point, Sheila, and I'm glad that you did.

I don't think I can be offended over the net and I've been cussed out (another training forum) and had very subtle insults and not so subtle insults.
The more you ignore these people the more pissed they get so it's waaay more fun to watch them boil.
The harder someone tries the easier it is to laugh about it.
It's the net fer cryin out loud!
It's not someone you even know. They aren't standing in front of you taking a swing at you or even just giving you the stink eye.
More then likely it's not even some one who's opinion you respect so what's the point?!!
It's the net!

I feel challenged. How's this for offensive? "Bob and the Mrs. sitting in a tree; k-I-s-s-I-n-g, first comes love, then comes marriage, then comes Bob pushing a baby carriage." Most of the youngsters probably don't know what I'm talking about, but believe me that was a serious taunt back in the day. I hope Bob doesn't ban me.

Speaking as one of the "green" people on this forum, I am ever so grateful for the help I've received and the basic good information and things I've learned here.
I'll never have a high-energy working dog but people here have been very accepting (and helpful) with my low energy, low drive dog (and now pup) and for that I am very thankful.
May this forum continue for a long, long time.
