I also use a harness for walking and biking the dog. If I get different harnesses and different colors will she be able to know working with nose work and biking harness? If not could I just use a key word like ready for work or what not. Purchased the nose work kit as well so getting excited to start nose work with the pup. https://www.instagram.com/danielgsdhp/

SOME dogs can feel controlled or restricted when wearing a normal collar. I've used a harness for actual tracking work but when I did nose work it was on a loose lead with a dog that is off a leash 95% of the time. I don't use the leash for control so he wasn't feeling restricted or controlled in any manner. JMO so others may have other answers. old dogs LOVE to learn new tricks

You would have to be VERY consistent with a different approach to putting on each harness for each different activity. Also you will have to be VERY aware of your dogs response to each harness. If you can't do this all the time you'll only confuse the dog. old dogs LOVE to learn new tricks
