So, my younger son has recently moved to a new place & added a housemate to his abode for saving $$$ on these sky-high California rents...
New Guy decides to get a Chihuahua from among the TRILLION throw-away Chi-Dogs at their "standing room only" Sacramento city pound -- Little Yoda turns out to be a total LOVE BUG who absolutely adores New Guy...
BUT this 35 year old New Guy tennis bum turns out to be an Irrationally Irresponsible scumbag who, after 4 WEEKS' time, suddenly decides to cast Little Yoda back into the high-kill Animal Shelter and tells my son about it after-the-fact
Noah says, "WTF", goes back to the pound himself & buys the poor little dog's 2nd Reprieve from Death's Door, then calls me to relate the tale -- I go BALLISTIC, warn him to watch his own back with New Guy, who is clearly a sociopath & could be a Serial Killer to boot...
I share this story at work & a close associate of mine here says, "My best friend lost his long-time Beloved Chihuahua in a heartbreaking accident awhile ago & thinks he's just about ready to get another Canine Companion !!!
She asked me our Chi-Dog's name, which is Little Yoda -- Her response was, "WOW, my friend's name is YODIAH" ... My reply: WHOA, is this Meant-2-B or what ??? They're picking him up from my son TONIGHT after work GOOD job, Noah !!!
Well, my son reported to me last night that The Transfer turned out to be a difficult one -- Little Yoda got worried that he was being "thrown away" AGAIN and did NOT want to accompany anyone who was a Stranger to him out of Noah's presence ... And who could possibly blame the poor dog, under these circumstances ??? But this made it emotionally HARD on everyone involved, including me, as I then fretted over the transition all night long & got no sleep (SIGH) but we're all HOPING that things will Improve Rapidly from here on out, so PLEASE keep ALL your Fingers Crossed for a speedy & positive BONDING between Yoda & Yodiah !!!
Well my dear friends, I am BEYOND SORRY to report a very Unfortunate Update concerning poor Little Yoda
Actually, not to sugar-coat the outcome, I'm in a helpless FURY over the bad news handed to me this morning !!!
Long story short:
The man that took this dog (along with our collar & leash of course) told my friend from work who assisted us with the rescue & transport last week, that Little Yoda had remained FRIGHTENED & UPSET for two days (not wanting to eat & attempting to hide) -- So over the weekend, this man brought the poor Distraught Dog out to the backyard in his arms WITHOUT any COLLAR or LEASH ... Little Yoda bolted underneath the main house, where he was LEFT UNATTENDED while other things needed doing off the premises & when that guy returned, Little Yoda was LONG GONE
I can't even SPEAK for crying !!! Why am I the one who feels so Undone & Guilty ???
