As you know, Jazz will cross the bridge Friday. We are also in the news for high flooding and lost our train service etc. I am now the new ESS for our cabin area, and have been busy with Emergency Measures to ensure none of us lose our homes..side note, I hate sandbags!
So I will be disappearing for awhile as I get trained for Emerg evac etc. Great way to keep busy after sad friday. The amount of helicopters that have been landing and flying at our end of Churchill has been insane, so he has gone completely nuts. I hope he can forgive me on the other side.
I will update you all when I have time, take care, and Kelly, heal well!!

Oh Becky, tears here already, my friend -- And I guarantee that Jazz WILL Forgive over the Rainbow Bridge ... He will know ONLY LOVE there, both Receiving & Giving it in return, of that there is absolutely no question in my mind whatsoever.

We were lucky not to lose our house with Fridays water height. I am sure he can feel the tension in the household right now, we had to put him in a shed to sandbag. The peak hits Sunday.
Thanks Candi and Bob, we are going to 4 wheel to town tmrw, so he can have our last good ride before he moves on. I am trying to convince myself to change my mind, but I keep knowing that he will be better off with the kind way the vets will help him rather than the anxiety he is living with everyday. Whether he likes it or not tmrw I am going to hold him, and after, for just a bit longer, since he will be relaxed and gone.
After tmrw I am going off grid for awhile, so won't be commenting too much. I appreciate all of you, and don't feel I am ignoring! But after this flood, the mess, etc, I need a bit of a bush breather.
On a high note water has receded enough here that we are in the yellow rather than red for flooding. Hope it stays that way..here is a pic of my house, we are the right hand corner, on this past fri.. Was a scary 4am wakeup!

In my old yard I had a number of dogs buried after almost 40 yrs there.
I do a lot of perennial gardening also and each grave had a special plant on it.
When I moved 10 yrs ago those special plants came with me.
Without that I think the move would have been very hard to do.
RIP Jazz!

You have done everything you could, Becky. I think you must see all this as a salvation for Jazz and yourself. It will be so important for you what picture of youself and Jazz you can create in your mind.
Over many decades I had to bury a lot of cats in my yard in Switzerland, like Bob did it with his dogs. Leaving later that place hurts a lot. When we emigrated we couldn't take any flowers with us like he (not allowed to import). But we took the ash with us of the one, who died some time before we emigrated. It has now the significance as a memory for all others. I do hope they will go on doing all their nonesense up there. This picture helped me a lot.
Running free with each other like your Jazz with Dot and Emma!
