Do you guys find that Cosequin is helpful? This would be for a 70lb 10yo lab mix. No obvious joint issues or limping but general slowing down from age.

Great - thanks Bob. I'm going to pick some up. Years ago I gave it to an older dog I had but her joints were so bad it was impossible to know if it helped at all.
My dogs are 6 years old and I think, I should start giving them something like that too. The same same product I probably don't get here.
They have no joint issues yet, but I guess they are prepring themselves lomg befor we notice them and I'd like to prevent.
This leads me to the question, if it is prejudicial for a 40kg dog to allow him to stand on her hind feet. I mean not when she does it now and then in a playful manner, but when I train her to hold herself upright for two or three steps.
I'm doing this twice a day, firstly because she loves doing this and secondly because I thought this will strengthen her muscles and so will finally be a joint-protection. I started it slowly, beginning with training the Sit Petty, then bit by bit luring her higher until she reaches a High 5 and holds it a bit.
