What are thoughts about sports supplements and how they may benefit the athlete in the working dog
I would like to know the role of creatine and other performance enhancing supplements available for schutzhund dogs...In addition what kind of conditioning programs should the schutzhund dog be on ...I believe supplements and conditioning should be part of a good schutzhund training program
Many people who feed a raw natural diet would 'supplement' by changing or adding different food etc to the diet rather than using a performace enhancing supplement.
What is it that you want to improve or change in your dog? Are you looking to add more energy? Support to the muscles, tendons etc for the more rigorous work?
I do not feed a raw diet. I do however feed a premium dry dog food. I do schutzhund and like to run/swim my dogs. Schutzhunds three phases tests the endurance of our dogs. Our human athletes use supplements what supplements/diets is anyone using on our canine athletes. I do use supplements on my dogs to include kelp and creatine among others. Thanks
