Happy Christmas to you all and a wonderful 2020 for youselves and your Pets.
Is the christmas-Cake already baked? I remember that someone uses to bake one for the dog's birthday. Was it you, Kelly? Enjoy it - for you the baking and for the dog eating the cake.

I echo the sentiments of the season.
And I would add a moment to reflect on the men and women in our armed services who serve us away from family.
And those who are no longer with us to celebrate... Requiescat in pace.

Happy holidays to all!
Yes, Christina, I do bake cupcakes for the dogs for their birthdays. Since Eleven turns 2 the day after Christmas, I actually do have a batch of cupcakes ready. She gets to see her kids and do the therapy dog thing on her birthday so we made enough cupcakes to bring along so everyone can celebrate.

You're too funny, Kelly! And so well organized!!! I remember, I've saved the recipe of your cupcakes last year, hope I'll find it, I'm not really well organized what concerns the computer. I'll try to teach them the word BIRTHDAY, though they'll not understand it really, but they'll know: Something good is going to happen.

Merry Christmas and Happy New year to all
Wish some folks I used to see here would post again. Would love to see updates on everyone’s dogs.
The Pinker is stone blind now. His training serves him well, though, and he goes with us to Florida.
Hoping to teach him to go down stairs in our condo. It is really scary for him.

Yaaay, the board is back up! I don't know about the rest of you, but I did not have access for most of the month of December. Honestly, I had given up, and today is the first day I have checked in about a week, so I'm really happy to see posts from all of you.
A belated Merry Christmas, and early wishes for a Happy New Year to all!
I have the same two dogs I've had since I joined LB. Logan is my eleven-and-a-half-year-old male Doberman. He's doing well except for a case of dilated cardiomyopathy, which doesn't seem to slow him down too much.
Natasha, my female Doberman, is going to turn thirteen in a couple of months. Not bad for a dog who was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy when she was six and wasn't expected to live for more than a few months. She has a little arthritis and noticeable cataracts, but she seems to see well enough.
Both dogs are on meds, which I credit for their still being around. Between the two of them, they take seven prescription meds! I'm grateful for every day they are with me.

Trooper is now 12-1/2 + and still a happy, goofy dog but slowing down a lot with his rear legs. He also has almost no hearing left. I can still get his attention by slapping my hands, He views that as play time and immediately finds his Kong and comes as quick as he can. Still loves for me to toss his Kong but I only toss it 5-6' because running, stopping quickly and turning back to return the Kong is a bit of an effort. I'll continue that till it becomes to painful. I suspect he'll be his normal, goofy self till it's time to leave. This is a dog that I chose because both his parents were both supper serious dogs. If i didn't know better I would swear there was a soft, sensitive, Golden Retrieve in the woodpile. Still love him to pieces.
