I've seen this often enough that I'm going to inquire here and ask if anyone else is seeing it or if anyone knows why it is happening. Frequently, like a couple times a week, I will see, in the "Active Topics" section, also in "Recent Posts," a thread that is entitled simply "Re:" and it always has multiple posts from our member Candi Campbell, but the posts have no text, they are blank. There will be a notation at the bottom that says "This Topic is Now Closed."
When I first started seeing these threads, I thought it must be some rare glitch of the board, but it happens on a very regular basis. I tried sending a private message to Candi, but I have not received a reply.
I'm posting publicly about this only because Candi is a long-time valued member here, and I'm hoping she is okay, and I'm wondering if she is trying to make posts to the board but is unable to do so for some reason.
Anybody else seeing these mysterious posts? Anybody have any idea what is going on?

THANKS Everybody,
I don't understand why all those bogus blank posts are showing up under my name -- Have tried replying to a few PM from you all, but they won't go through ... I'm not at all tech savvy, so am becoming very frustrated & discouraged with trying to answer or initiate Private Messages here, but am so glad Cheri started a PUBLIC thread to get IT attention & hopefully solve the problem !!! My three dogs and I are all fine & wish the same for all our Dear cyber friends at Leerburg
Love You Guys,
Candi, Adobe & Adonis, and Bowie

Candi, it's good to hear from you! I could see that my PM to you was marked "read," but then when I didn't get a response, I was starting to worry.
I'm not tech-savvy either, and a few years back, I was having my own difficulty initiating PMs with anybody. Connie suggested a different way than going into our "My Stuff" tab and typing the person's name in the recipient box. Instead, she suggested clicking on a person's name from one of their posts on the board, then that brings up a screen with their info on it, and then click on "Send Private Message." That's helped when I want to initiate a PM, but I've never had any problem replying to a PM sent to me, like you're describing.
At least it seems like you are able to post in threads on the main board. I do hope we will all hear something from the IT department soon, if they can figure out what in the world has been going on here.
I'm relieved to know all is well with you and your four-legged family, Candi!

I'm relieved too, Candi!
Also, after Cheri had problems getting with PMs last week, Bobbie at LB worked on the issue and it seemed to be okay after that. So I sent you a test PM this morning (Candi) and I'm hoping that you receive it and can reply.
And yes, Cheri perfectly describes the best way to send a PM ... "a different way than going into our 'My Stuff' tab and typing the person's name in the recipient box. Instead, click on a person's name from one of their posts on the board, then that brings up a screen with their info on it, and then click on 'Send Private Message'." Thanks, Cheri!

I see now that all of those "Re:" posts that appeared to be from Candi but were not seem to have disappeared. Thank you, Bobbie, and I hope you were able to discover a possible reason for the glitch so it won't just start all over again.

I've done some digging and it looks like there are several empty posts that have inserted over the past few weeks. If there is anybody who is having trouble posting (or if anybody just wants to help troubleshoot), please try making a post using the three methods below. (This will help us track down exactly where the issue might be happening.)
1. Try posting a brand new topic (in any forum) using the "New Post" link.
2. Try replying to an existing topic by making a post at the bottom of the page.
3. Try replying to an existing topic using the "Reply" or "Quote" link (this will bring you to a new page instead of making the post at the bottom of the thread).
If you have an issue with any of these things, or if any of your posts fail to show up, please email bobbie@leerburg.com and let me know as many details as possible so we can look into it. You can also try posting with a different internet browser or device to see if anything changes, since this would help narrow it down to a specific browser or version.
We've also had some issues in the past with smartphone emoticons, so if you are using smileys or any of the funny emoticons included with your smartphone for texting, you should try the post again without any emoticons to see if they could be interfering with your post.
The more information we have, the easier it will be for us to figure out what's causing the blank posts. Thanks, everyone!

And just like that, there is a brand-new "Re:" post in Candi's name that says it was posted at the same exact time as your post here in this thread, Bobbie.
