Hey Butch I am not sure about how much of the Flax seed oil or the other fish oil tabs you mentioned but here is a tip. Plain old SOYA oil from the supermarket. 80 lb dog about 3 teaspoons.
Soya oil is the main item in linatone. Very high in 3-6-9 and all the other good fatty acids.
Another product that I am testing out now and seeing a lot of very good results is cold pressed Virgin HEMP OIL. Legal and can be had at any decent health food store. It is pricey but works very well on coat and skin.
I am also seeing an improvment in the test dogs (DDR GSD) overall nerves since he was put on to the HEMP OIL a month ago. No Joke and for real.
Funny thing though Butch, the darn dog has really become a pain in the ass when I have munchies handy. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> (Joke) <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
Jery,
Thanks, the Soya oil by the teaspoon may be easier to handle. This time of year my GSD's skin gets very dry. I'm hoping this will help.
Thanks, <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
I may try the Hemp Oil myself. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />
Note: I passed up on a Mal a few yrs back, wish I had decide differently. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
You might also try giving your dog some canned sardines or salmon once every couple of weeks. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
