It all depends on what you do with it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
I did a google search, it is a coat supplement. I have never used it but the main ingredient is soybean oil. I personally would rather use salmon oil and Vit E... seems my dogs do better with an animal based oil as opposed to plant based..
Salmon oil also boosts immune function and acts as an anti-inflammatory. Don't know about soybean oil?
I used Linatone once with one of my dogs—to cure dry skin and dull coat. It worked pretty quickly, within one week the flaking stopped and his coat became soft and shiny. Some people I know use it on a daily basis. As far as other benefits, I doubt.
Cindy, can you buy salmon oil in a pet store? Does it contain Vit.E, or do you add that separately?

You can also buy salmon oil (and Vit E) at Wal Mart, it's in the vitamin section.
Salmon oil usually comes in 1000 mg capsules, the dosage I use is 1000mg/20 pounds body weight for a healthy dog and 400 IU Vit E. If the dog has health issues or is stressed (arthritis, in season, breeding, skin issues, etc..) I give 1000mg/10 pounds of body weight daily with 400 IU Vit E..
Thanks, Cindy. One more silly question--it doesn't matter whether Vit.E is for human consumpiton, does it? Can't be too carefull these days  .
