K-9 CRIME STOPPERS INC. is forming a club in the Hartford County area. Friday nights is our club training night. Mike Ellis will be instructing three to four times a month. Mike is quickly becoming the most sought after instructor for all the Ring sport in the US. His expertise in Decoy and handler skills is incredible. His also has a unique knowledge of Malinois.
We are looking for members of extreme dedication the club. NO PEDIGREE CHATTING, just suiting up and training for the club. Francis Metcalf in New Hampshire is soon to be forming a club as well. We will plan trips to other clubs. Given Mike Ellis and Francis Metcalf being a few hours from each, the support system is in place for our success.

There's some interest here in southern Wisconsin in getting a ring club going (especially Mondio). Are you familiar with any experienced ring decoys out this way?
That sounds great! Contact the US Mondio Site. You may have some luck convincing French Ring people to cross train. It's never easy to get anything started. Especially something as difficult as Mondio. But, I really think it will be the sport of the US in the Future. Also, contact Schutzhund clubs in your area. GSDs compete very well in the sport. Not as tough on them like French Ring.
I am from CT and I am very interested in your club. I am from the stamford area so I am a little far but wouldnt mind the drive.I am a greenhorn tho. I'm not sure if you need pro's but I know that sometimes training a greenhorn is best because you don't have bad habits to break. My Malinois is only 7 months old and I am still working on the basics with him. I woundn't mind you training me and using me for a decoy until my pup is ready to join the fun. Is there a website I can get more info on your club? Let me know if there is any type of printing I might be able to help with. I do not have color machines but I can definatly help the club save money on printing flyers and info booklets.
