I also want to say THANK YOU KEVIN!!!!!
I am very much a newcomer to working/sporting dogs and I was grateful for the chance to meet such a talented trainer.
It is obvious that Kevin loves what he does and is good at it.His ability to read each dog and skillfully sculpt each animals training to its own needs in order to maximize that particular dogs working traits is done by Kevin as an art form!!
I regret that I only had a very short time to try to learn as much as I could. I have been energized by my dog Bella's reactions at the seminar and will now pursue more training thanks to Kevin and to Bryan of K-9 Crimestoppers.
And one more thing, I am TRULY happy that Kevin put to rest my fears that perhaps Bella had weak nerves. Some of you board members had me kinda worried there for a bit,but Kevin reassured me that MY DOG DOES NOT HAVE WEAK NERVES!!!!!
My sincere thanks to Kevin and to Bryan, President of K-9 crimestoppers, for making it all happen!!

He said that her behavior in a strange place with all of the new and exciting things going on around her was solid and confident. She displayed no fear, only eager anticipation. She was put on the back-tie first and eagerly grabbed the little tug.She was having a great time and was doing well. Later she came back out and while I acted as the pole( meaning that I stood my ground and held her back by her leash), he swung a much larger tug by her. She grabbed it firmly, no mouthing and did not drop it. Bella and I then ran around the field with the tug in her mouth. We repeated this twice and then I put her away while she continued to hold the tug. This was done with lots of distractions around her, as pointed out before, in a new place and with other dogs around too.I was told she did qiute well, especially with no previous training!
Her manner was always good and I specifically asked him about her nerves and told him aboout the concerns raised here on the board. He told me to let everyone know that he said her nerves were not weak, that she had good nerves actually.
I was very glad to have his input, because I never thought she had weak nerves .

I also had the pleasure to listen, learn, and work with Kevin this past weekend. Not only does he have great training helper skills, he also is very pleasant to talk to and work with. Any sport or police k-9 trainer/handler should jump at the chance to attend a workshop/seminar of his! -Greg
I couldn't agree more with everyone's sentiments of the seminar. Kevin, couldn't have made it anymore simplier for me to host. Aside from the standard 45 cups of coffee he needs. He was a pleasure to host. It was very encouraging to see him be entertaining as well as extremely knowledgable. In short, you learn a ton, and it was a lot of fun. Everyone left engergized, especially the green handlers. Great dogs everyone too.
I would suggest Kevin for any discipline your club does, because as he puts it, it's the foundation building that's most important. Kevin has that down to a science. So Ringers, Police, Sch, and table trainers get him to your club.

Aside from the standard 45 cups of coffee he needs.
If there was a starbucks close by it would have simply been a red eye with a couple shots of espresso extra!! Just a night owl trying to adjust to the dreaded daylight!
