This is exactly the thing you hate to hear. Two nights ago a k-9 unit was going on a call with lights and sirens blaring. Well, the motorist that hit him didn't pay attention and t-boned the suv. The officer seems to be o.k., but the dog is paralyzed and it doesn't look good for him. It's sad to have your partner injured in such a wasteful incident. I'm sure each partner is worried about the others condition. Let's hope the K-9 does not suffer and recovers to be with his handler soon.

Rock, I haven't heard anything in the media but I will ask around at the schutzhund club tomorrow night. We have a couple of metro officers in the club and I'm sure they will know how the dog is doing.
