hey to you all,
our company got into very short period of (3 days) 2 big!!! projects and so we face a posible problem.
we are looking into buying around 20 dogs, as a begining, who is traind already in explosives in all importent matirials.
my boss is living ISRAEL this week to the US to meet this guy from indiana i think name ken not sure off his last name...
did any one ever herd of him?
know him?
got other ideas were to get more info on this matter?
The gentleman that you are referring to is Ken Lichlider in Denver Indiana. Here is a link to his Website http://www.vohneliche.com/index.html. I don't know how well known he is on this forum. Therefore I don't know how many endorsements he'll get here. He definately gets one from me. IMO I think that he's a class act and puts out a super product.
He puts out some outstanding dogs and is an excellant trainer, he also has a good replacement warranty. I train often with a city here whom until recently were purchasing all their K-9s through him and all are excellant dogs.

You can get 20 dogs from them.... they have 80-100 on hand at any time. They are pricey... $4,500 for a green dog. I just question how you are able to keep a stock of 80-100 QUALITY police dog candidates. It's realy hard to find 1 outstanding PSD let alone 100. Makes me nervous.
Mathew, It would be worth your while to see his operation. It wouldn't make you so nervous. He does a lot of business and has impecable references. They are constantly evaluating prospects and have to turn many away because they are not suitable. Like most folks that sell trained turn key dogs they really aren't in the green dog business.
I thought that $4500 was pricey too until about a month ago. We ended up spending more for a "green prospect" from a vendor in NC.
Don't mean to sound defensive. It's that when a business has such volume you would expect to see some lemons. What I have seen is consistanly good dogs.

hey,
well my bos just got back today from Ken's Lichlider kennels last night.
didn't had much chance to talk to him but from what i know he came back with 9 dogs most if not all are mal's.
i know some of them have some training but not complit or not good enough to start work with any way... and the others are "green"
from what i heard they are realy good and im getting 2 of them to start work with them along with my other two (mal and a GS) can't wait!!
any way thanks for every one who helped on this matter!!!

well just a small correction he got 5 and not 9.
they all came with some training and we did the rest wich was the most the way i see it.
as for now they are all done wnd working, some over GAZA and some in the international air port.
they are good and we are pleesed with the way they came out!
