in the videos, when the dog is focussing, i am giving the "bite" command. is this the same command that i will use when sending the dog to bite the sleeve? the videos have done wonders for me and my giant schnauzer. when is the next one?
thanks,
brandon
Not sure this is what you're talking about, but be aware that the rules now state that you absolutely cannot say "packen" anymore. You can say voran, or "go on" in english. That's IT! (We're getting politically correct these days) so you might not want to get in the habit of saying the old packen command cuz it'll slip out when you don't want it to in competition.

Be carful not to use the same command as you use for the blind searches. Becouse as you know you dont want a bite there its a bark and hold. I use voran for the blind search and for bark, and ravier for the courage test.
At the Delhi, Ca. trial last month a person was disqualified for using packen for the courage test.

At the Delhi, Ca. trial last month a person was disqualified for using packen for the courage test. Which organization was that and who was the judge? I was not aware that you would be disqualified for using the packen command on the courage test.
It was a schH trial. Harry Webb and his dog were disq. I dont remember the name of the judge. But I am told from another judge that several letters were sent in and that there should not be any more DQ only point reduction.
