From what I understand the Korbelbach bloodlines are one of the best West German lines for police service work. Dogs like Gildo, Gary, King etc were very good producers. Is this kennel still going and what is the quality of their dogs like now-days?
From what I understand this kennel has now been taken over by his son, I believe that he uses the name Korbatal, if I am not mistaken.
In my view, Gildo was one of the best producing dogs for fighting instinct, but he was a dog that you had to breed carefully, as you got dogs that were very serious. He also produced problems such as soft ears, undesended testicles. hips problems etc. He also produced alot of narrower heads sometimes, but when bred correcly he gave you the drive needed for dervice dogs. I have a young Gildo grandaughter, which is very nice.
