with a muzzle test the ground work must be done first. control work in the muzzle first then aggression work . when you think the dog is ready for the street then use the muzzle test . if the dog is willing to fight away from the handler without primary weapon , then and only then is the dog ready for the street .

LC: On the Dog Aggression list you wrote something quite different didn't you? Here's what you said, "the sch three different size sticks and the three firm wacks is more of a test . the only test I use is a muzzle attack 100 yards away from the handler when the dog lunges at the decoy, the decoy side steps the dog making the dog miss . as the dog flies by the decoy , the decoy strikes the dog with a sch I stick ( producing a sting ). if the dog is still willing to fight after the strike , away from the handler and without it's main weapon . then I claim to know a little about the dog ."
LC: Note: bill has been asked several times to post his "test" here so that experienced police dog trainers can see it. For reasons known only to him, he's refused. The list where he posted this test is unmoderated and there are no rules regarding cross posting. Posting here is for comment and criticism only which is allowed by copyright laws. (US Code Title 17, CHAPTER 1, Sec. 107, Fair Use).
LC: I'd invite people to join that list and see how bill conducts himself when he's unmoderated. It's VERY enlightening. It's a Yahoo list called "Dog Aggression."

LC: Will is asking the same questions that any reasonable person would ask. The same questions that I've been asking you for months. The same questions that Josh Lewis asked in another thread. The same questions you were asked on the SAR–DOGS list.
LC: They're rational questions when someone spouts nonsense such as you do and claims to have lots of experience. Here, as on those sites, you parade around pretending to know lots about K-9 training but when asked where you get your "expertise" you fold up and refuse to answer. That always means that there's nothing there but a mouth, or in this case a keyboard.

LC: Well Bill looks like you've made another friend.

LC: You're right bill, you're the only REAL dog trainer here. The rest of us are just fakes. Faking our way through it. Thank goodness you've come here to tell us how it should be done.

LC: bill this sounds like you work a police dog on the street. But that's not the case is it? You're not a police officer are you? You're not a police dog handler are you?
